Mentor or Coach - Is There A Difference And Which Should You Choose

There seems to have arisen the question of the difference between a Coach and a Mentor.  Or is there a difference.  Yes, there is a significant difference between the two.  So what is that difference and which should you choose for your needs and future success.

A Coach is a person who is more like an encourager, motivater of cheerleader of sorts.  They are the person who can give you some tips and teachings but is more likely the person who will encourage you to stay focused and motivated to move forward.  This is most helpful when you are stuck or discouraged.  Frustration can cause you to stagnate or feel like quitting.  Your coach is there to find out what it is that is stopping or stifling you, and find ways or words to get you back on your feet and moving forward again.

A Mentor on the other hand is a teacher, an educator in the field or process in which you are pursuing.  Someone who is a mentor has done what it is that you want to learn and provides you with the education needed to help you succeed.  This person should also be one who continues to do what they are teaching.   You may need more than one mentor depending on how many strategies you are using to create a successful business.  For instance you may be using teleseminars or articles to promote your business.  There are mentors who have been successful in both but not in other areas you choose to utilize.

You may find it necessary to have a coach and a mentor to help you stay on track.  One to encourage your growth and one to teach you what you need to know.  One of my mentors is Connie Regan Green.  She has also been an encourager but is now mentoring a multitude of people on building an online businesses.  Her course in Online Technology  helped me to achieve online success and continues to guide me as I grow more successful.  In her post  Laying The Foundation For Your Online Business , she gives you several things you can do to build an online business.  When choosing a person to mentor you, make sure this person is successful at what they are doing and and teach you the next steps to get you where you want to go.

Is Being OK With Yourself Just An Excuse

So many times in the recent past I have heard especially women say “I’m OK with the way I am”.  But is that really OK?  Or is it just a blatant excuse for being lazy or unmotivated to make changes to be the best you that you can be?  Or even a lack of character and confidence.  If you have a business that deals with body improvement and you can’t see your ankles or elbows because of your weight, how much credibility do you really think you really have.  Or if you write about business and/or relationships yet after attending a promenant meeting all you can expound upon is the quality of the food and not the content of the meeting, do you really think  people are going to take you seriously?   Your first impression says everything about you and your character.  It reveals your self image and that will reflect upon how a person will feel about how you can do your business.  It is time to wake up and smell the flowers or lack thereof.  Thinking it is OK to be OK with yourself is a cop out and just an excuse to not improve your valuable image.  What people see first is what many base their future business dealings on.  And if you are not willing to step out of you boxed in comfort zone and do something physically to look your best then you should not be surprised if your business is not growing to the extent you would like it to either.  Let’s get real.  Being OK is not OK and it is time to stop finding excuses to do what it take to become the best you that you can and should be.  You will feel better about you also.  A new image is always a plus and when you look successful you will be successful.

Whether You Know It Or Not Your Image Builds Your Business

For many prople, it is time to reinvent their image.  Your first impression says alot about you whether you know it or not.  If you plan on being successful, soon or later you will have learn how to dress for success.  Sooner would be much  better than later.  The common excuse used for not purchasing clothing that speaks loadly about what you want is cost.  But if you can dream it or imagine it, it has a greater chance of manifesting for you.    If you can keep that in mind and take whatever comes unsought then you will receive your opportunity to rise above where you are now.

Your clothing should get the job done without you evenopening your mouth to say a word.  It should be congruent, compelling and consistant with the messege you want to give abut yourself.  It should also fit the profession that you want to enter into.  Make sure that your clothing fits you as well.  There are times for extreme fashion and time to allow somethings to remain hidden. Remember that  body that moves increases in value.  So if  a change of weight is called for, then it is a good idea to make it happen.  Fashion Designers do not make clothing particularly in plus sizes.  If you want to look like a million bucks you have to dress like a million bucks.  Spending a little extra money on one nice designer outfit that fits will save you a bundle of money on a bunch of clothes that do not.  No whining about the pricetag….. When you are a victim, you don’t even enjoy being miserable.  One or two outfits that are spectacular can do so much more than a closet full of items that do not create a great self image.   Treat yourself and uplift your spirits and you will see more confidence and character  in yourself each time you put them on and it will show to those around you.  So take charge and get noticed.  Your future is in your hands and in the clothing on your back.  You will feel better and be more efficient in whatever the work you do when you show value in who you are.  That air of confidnce will attract to you all you need to be successful.

How Teleseminars Allow You To Work From Home

There are numerous days that I am home working and alot of times I am in my pajamas or sweats until the afternoon.  I have probably worked for a few hours by that time and taken breaks to walk my dog, do my dishes or whatever I happen to choose to do at the time.  But my work is done from the comfort of my home, and I make more money now than I ever did when I was working at a brick and mortar job  for eight hours each day plus travel time.  This is made  possible because of the power of teleseminars.  My learning on many occassions is done online in the form of teleseminars and the nice thing is that if I somehow miss the presentation, is is recorded and I can listen to it, from my own home, on my computer at a later time.

I have used materials and techniques from Kathleen Gage on how to build my business.  With teleseminars and other business practices she teaches, I will be increasing my visability on the internet and reeching many more people with the information and motivation they need to get their businesses going and keeping them moving forward.   Learning from her,  for me, was very important as to how I applied the information to my own online business.

Many online business owner have students from all over the world who listen and learn. Instant Teleseminar is a recording service that enables you to set up professional looking web pages in fifteen minutes or less.

With the information that you have  to offer, and when people hear your voice they are able to connect with you more comfortably. You can quickly and easily invite people to your teleseminar from networks like Facebook and Twitter, and within a short period of time you can have your internet business started. As you continue to do  more teleseminars, your listeners will tell you what they want to learn from you. Teleseminars are a great form of public speaking, but you don’t have to leave your house, fly anywhere or stand in front of a crowd to do it.

Look into this avenue of business building and give this kind of making money opportunity online a chance.  You will be quite surprise at the magnitude of income it will create for your business.

Reinvent Yourself In These Times Of Uncertainty

There are several terms that I have heard about making changes to yourself.  One term is new to me but I like the sound of it.  It seems that in some cases a person needs to go through a transformation or reinvention to see the difference in themselves.  They don’t see themselves as they could be. But continue to see themselves as they are or as they were.  By reinventing yourself you start from a completelydifferent point than just a small change here and there.  That is probably why there are so many makeover shows in television.  Most people can not imagine what can be so they stay stuck on what is.  By looking at a total makeover or reinvention what we really can be will then emerge. Our character will have a new beginning and our confidence level will rise. Your new image can bring a welcome change on the inside as well.

With new confidence you can step into another world unlike the one you are currently in to create a new life.  Even in these times of uncertainty, you can become a newer, better, more prosperous person and life a lifestyle you have desired but not yet achieved.  By taking that first step of change you will see your character make changes as well.  By looking at yourself differently, others with look at you with more belief that the direction you are taking is a path to success.  You will find that your netowrk of associates will grow which in turn creates more opportunity for growth and new heights.  Especially in these times of economic uncertainty, redirecting and reinventing yourself may be the only way to weather the storm.

Are You Packaging Yourself For Where You Are Going

Are you packaging or presenting yourself in the context you are in now?  Is where you are now where you want to be in the future?  If not, maybe you are dressing inappropriately for where you want to go and that can be hindering you from getting there.  Or getting there faster than you are.  Your attire says alot about you and your ambition.  If someone you may be trying to land a contract with does not see you literally ready for the future, even by the way you may be packaging yourself you could either not get your contract or there may be a seemingly sizable hesitation in the negotiations.

If you are not where you want to be in your life you should not be dressing anything less.  There are affordable ways to put together a wardrobe, hairdo and for the ladies, makeup to put you right where you should be, package wise.  When you look the part, the chances are more than likely that you will move toward your goal quicker, easier and with more confidence.  Your self image may be your new image and your key to your new future.  It is all in the package.

Blogging Can Help To Promote Your Business

Blogging is a great way to get the information about you internet business out to people not only in your community but around the world.  But there are a few things you need to know and learn before you build a blog so you don’t jump in head first and possibly sink.

The first thing is to plan what your goals will be for this type of website and what are you going to write about or what is your niche.  A common mistake made by people who start blogs is they write about unrelated topics in the same blog.  Find something specific and focus on that area of knowledge so your readers can depend on getting quality information when they go to your blog.  As you gain credibility you can begin promoting not only your own products but you can promote other peoples products and services as well.  You can even make additional money online by becoming an affiliate to other products.

It is a good idea to search and read other blogs as you begin to build yours to get an idea of how to effectively set yours up and the type of content you want to write about on your posts.  Notice the frequency and quality of the information. Keep in mind that the average person that may be looking at your niche is not a college graduate or professional.  Your writing needs to be on a level that a majority of people can understand and relate to.

Just remember that as you get started you can always make changes to improve your blog. You will learn more and experiment to find what works and what doesn’t.  As you follow other blogs be sure to leave comments on posts that you related to or learned from.  You can include their posts in your posts with a permalink and refer people to them as well.  They in turn can and will do the same for you. This then creates a community of bloggers and business people sharing ideas, products and information.  With a little bit of persistence you can build an online presence that is strong and productive.  When you build that trust and credibility online, it will not matter what you promote, you will be able to build an online income from numerous sources or just your own products.
