You Are Either Affecting Or Infecting Those Around YouPosted by admin on May 27th, 2009
There are two ways that you make a difference to the people around you. Even online, what you communicate can make a difference when developing relationships. You can infect them or you can affect them. Obviously the later is better but what really does this mean in regards to you? And what can you do to make sure that you are being a great influence to those around you.
To infect someone is when you express your negative or unsupporting views and attitudes to people who come in and out of your life. The most affecte are your family and friends. When you have a “OH Whoa is me” attitude, it can deflate the balloons of the people you spend time with the most. Other non supportive statements are “Oh, this or that just doesn’t work”, “What a lousy day”, “You are never gonna..”, “I’m broke” and the list goes on. A person that infesct others is one with a negative attitude and can not seem to see a brighter, more productive, prosperous side of living. They are always ready to give up.
The person that affects others is one that stands in support of the people they come in contact with. This person has encouraging words and a sense of support no matter what their friends, family or collegues may be experiencing. If something does not go quite as planned an affector will offer words or deeds that will help work through the challenges and not give up.
So in your world , whether it is on a personal level or a business level, are you infecting people or affecting them. Are you lifting people up with encouragement and support or wallowing in the mud with discouraging words and pity party suggestions. With the economy in the slump that it is in, there needs to be more affectors and less infectors. There is a brighter, more prosperous tomorrow ahead for so many and we need fighters and encouragers, supporters and inspirerers to lift the energy surrounding our economic futures. It is then that we will move forward, not only as individuals but as the mighty nation that we are. As T Harv Eker says “ Are you infecting or affecting the world around you?”
