With the growing popularity of social networks and the social media, publishing your articles has found a new dimension. The opportunity to get your article seen let alone read has been extended by the phenomenal growth of social networking.

Two networks on the rise and growing are the ever popular Twitter and Facebook. Not too far behind those is MySpace and several others. It is recommended that you take advantage of this opportunity and use the power provided by these networks. Your article distribution will reach outrageous proportions as well as you will make new friends and gain internet exposure.

There are a few things you must do to utilize the power of Facebook and Twitter. Once you have your Twitter account you will need to go to EzineArticles and edit your Author Bio to include your Twitter username and your Twitter URL. When your articles get approved they will automatically post to your Twitter account for all your followers to access. You can Tweet about your articles in mini-posts and refer people back to your articles that are fitting to the conversations that you are having.

For Facebook, you can also add your account URL to your Author Bio in your EzineArticles account to be seen when people pull up you bio page to read. You can list in the notes section of your Facebook account your most popular articles with the most views and click thrus for a wider exposure.

You can even create a domain name and forward your EzineArticles link so that you can direct people in several different ways to your expert author page and list of all your articles. When you have created this kind of exposure and internet presence you will be seen more widely as the expert you are. People will do business with you when you are not always on the sell and on the helpfulness. You will also learn so much through your interaction with the various experts you will meet in these networks.

Writing articles has become a common occurrence when people begin to build online presence and establish credibility. There are a few very important items you must pay attention to before you publish your articles.

Although this is something most writers think they keep in mind, this common mistake happens again and again.  Always check your punctuation, your grammar and your spelling. On many occasions I have read through my material and thought that I had corrected all of the mistakes. I have later reread it or had it brought to my attention of the mistakes I did not catch. Bad spelling is a downfall for even the most successful of writers and internet marketers. Most programs do have a spell check and some have a grammar check that can be use before you submit you articles for publishing. 

 Make sure that your article is long enough to be called an article. Anything less than 300 words is more like a blogpost. This piece of writing is not long enough to give any pertinent information and probably will not be consider very seriously. On the other hand, make sure that you are not writing a book either. After a certain length, your reader will get bored or overwhelmed and will probably not finish reading nor will there be a likelihood that your reader will click on your links. Too much information is just as deadly as not enough. A good average is between 300 and 500 words.

And with that said, make sure your article is not a sales pitch only. Your article should contain good information but leave an avenue for the reader to want more information. Most readers will know when they are reading an obvious sales letter and will likely not click on your links. Every article must contain nuggets of good information to create credibility and trust from those who will read it and continue to follow you.

It is in your resource box that you can then put a link back to your blog or website. Or you can suggest or recommend other products and services that are related and that can help your reader get where he/she wants to go.

So many times you get caught in the hum drum of writing an article and feel we are just running out of steam. When you sit down it just does not seem that you can think or the ideas you had just don’t seem to flow. What you may not realize is that if you do not have a mentor or coach that you are just needing someone to bounce some thoughts off of or just some conversation to free your mind. That is when a group of 5 to 6 people will give you just what you need to break loose.

Tip number 1 for creating a mastermind group of people to learn from and support you is that the people involved should be at your level of income or making more than you. The key point is to team up with people who are already where you want to be. Many people at a higher level are more than willing to share their experiences that may otherwise not be shared. Especially with article writing there are times when sharing ideas with someone who has been writing successfully for sometime will help you through a time of discouragement.

Tip number 2 is to conduct these meetings on a regular basis, either weekly, every other week or monthly. Although in person is preferred, most mastermind groups meet over the phone. Plan at least an hour but preferably two hours for each meeting. It is recommended that for the first few meetings that each person be given at least 30 minutes to talk about their situation, needs, and challenges so that the rest of the group can effectively give feedback and brainstorm was to help. It also insure that each member gets what they need to move forward in their endeavors. With article writing, it may be an advantage to have members in several different niches to create variety in the feedback.

Tip number 3 is for each member to make a commitment to stretch and grow. There should always be a next action stated before the meeting ends from each of the members. There should also be a time to share the successes from the last meeting no matter how small they may seem. This commitment should not be a continuation of the previous goal not met. It must stretch just beyond the goal set from the meeting before so that the member must not only finish the first goal but other things just beyond the last. By doing this it is an assurance that the group in moving forward toward completing the goals they set. If you are writing articles set a clear amount of articles to be written in a specific amount of time hold you accountable to your group and affords you enough pressure to help push you through. It also brings you to a point of accountability. People tend to produce more when you set a deadline or timeline. You will more actively take steps to accomplish the tasks you set out to do. If you say you will write AND submit 5 articles, you will do what it takes to get all or most of it done before the group meets again.

Article writing does not have to be difficult. There are several groups available for mentoring or masterminding your way to success. There are also tools available to help you as well to create an effective article for whatever you happen to be writing about.

When I got started on the internet in 2007, I had a lot of learning to do. Some was trial and error. Some was proven methods I learned from my mentors. But for the most part, I studied many of the already successful people who had built their businesses on the internet. What they did, how they did it and why they did what they did. There was one area that I did not grasp at first but learned the extreme importance within the past year.

How do I attract visitors to my websites is a question asked by so many trying to become successful in internet marketing. The answer was in how to build link popularity to your website. I thought, as most newbies do, that once you put a website or blog up, it will automatically bring visitors and they will easily find you. That is far from the truth and a disappointment to the beginner just getting started. The internet is a vastness that need to be utilized by linking your website or blog with inbound links. There are millions of websites out there in cyberspace and the more you have linking to your website the more you will be found and visited by the millions of people that use the internet today.

One of the most important things to remember when building your website or blog is keywords. Find out what people are searching for and use those words to attract visitors to your site. Use them in your titles, on your pages and everywhere there is a place to insert keywords for your work. This makes it easier for the search engines to find you and drive traffic to you.

Another way to drive traffic to your site is to write articles. This is a very effective way to increase traffic to your site. Make sure at the bottom of each of your articles you have an author biography and the link back to your website. Submit to several article directories and watch you popularity rise. Be patient because it will take a little time to become noticed so be persistent. Don’t stop at one or two, write articles on a regular basis. One more thing you can do to get more recognition for the search engines is to comment on other peoples’ blogs and include a link to your website. Make sure they are relevant to you niche or topic. If you have a website, you must make sure that all your pages are linked to the homepage so the search engines can assign a popularity to each of the pages in your website.

The internet is being used more and more by the average person. It has become a major source of advertising for people who would not step into the world of products and services as easily. Individuals have so much to offer yet in the past would forgo pursuing because of the costs and difficulty of getting things advertised. Then along came cyberspace. And with cyberspace came an incredible power to reach millions of people. This opened up a whole new world for a person to not only explore but to get themselves and their products and/or services seen in homes and businesses around the world. There are numerous ways to utilize the internet to market to others.

One way is to set up a website for either information or to include shopping pages with a shopping cart. Just recently the ease of one page websites has made it easier and more cost effective to advertise a product for purchase. With newer programs in place the average person can develop a simple website that will speak effectively and efficiently. Your product could be a virtual product such as an e-book or e-course. The page could also advertise items for purchase that need to be shipped which could be just about anything you can imagine.

The second way that you can become known on the internet is to create a blog.  Blogging has become a huge way to get information out to thousands of people. Although there is an etiquette as to how you can advertise in your blog, people connect and pass information along with simple entries on their blogs. With ways to get updates, your reader can just sign up to get those updates without having to go out to your blog, your blog comes to them via email. This is an easy way to network with others and gain internet recognition as well. A blog is a website and when it is done well can prove to be an asset to your business.

A third way to attract others to you and/or your website is to write articles. These articles become an information source to the readers. As you become more known by writing articles the chances are that people will be more likely to visit your website or websites that you recommend. Make sure that your articles are not blatant advertising because that is likely to turn people away after a time. Articles offer information and assistance to your reader. Even if your reader does not go to your website, they have gained valuable information and are more likely to past that along to others. These others could then be those people who do visit your website.

As with anything, it takes time to become proficient with using the internet to connect with people no matter where they are. These are only a few simple ways to reach people on the internet. But if you keep at it and find other people who have gone before you to become successful, you too will grow and create your own success.
