When I got started on the internet in 2007, I had a lot of learning to do. Some was trial and error. Some was proven methods I learned from my mentors. But for the most part, I studied many of the already successful people who had built their businesses on the internet. What they did, how they did it and why they did what they did. There was one area that I did not grasp at first but learned the extreme importance within the past year.

How do I attract visitors to my websites is a question asked by so many trying to become successful in internet marketing. The answer was in how to build link popularity to your website. I thought, as most newbies do, that once you put a website or blog up, it will automatically bring visitors and they will easily find you. That is far from the truth and a disappointment to the beginner just getting started. The internet is a vastness that need to be utilized by linking your website or blog with inbound links. There are millions of websites out there in cyberspace and the more you have linking to your website the more you will be found and visited by the millions of people that use the internet today.

One of the most important things to remember when building your website or blog is keywords. Find out what people are searching for and use those words to attract visitors to your site. Use them in your titles, on your pages and everywhere there is a place to insert keywords for your work. This makes it easier for the search engines to find you and drive traffic to you.

Another way to drive traffic to your site is to write articles. This is a very effective way to increase traffic to your site. Make sure at the bottom of each of your articles you have an author biography and the link back to your website. Submit to several article directories and watch you popularity rise. Be patient because it will take a little time to become noticed so be persistent. Don’t stop at one or two, write articles on a regular basis. Two article directories you can started with are EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com.

One more thing you can do to get more recognition for the search engines is to comment on other peoples’ blogs and include a link to your website. Make sure they are relevant to you niche or topic. If you have a website, you must make sure that all your pages are linked to the homepage so the search engines can assign a popularity to each of the pages in your website.

The internet is being used more and more by the average person. It has become a major source of advertising for people who would not step into the world of products and services as easily. Individuals have so much to offer yet in the past would forgo pursuing because of the costs and difficulty of getting things advertised. Then along came cyberspace. And with cyberspace came an incredible power to reach millions of people. This opened up a whole new world for a person to not only explore but to get themselves and their products and/or services seen in homes and businesses around the world. There are numerous ways to utilize the internet to market to others.

One way is to set up a website for either information or to include shopping pages with a shopping cart. Just recently the ease of one page websites has made it easier and more cost effective to advertise a product for purchase. With newer programs in place the average person can develop a simple website that will speak effectively and efficiently. Your product could be a virtual product such as an e-book or e-course. The page could also advertise items for purchase that need to be shipped which could be just about anything you can imagine.

The second way that you can become known on the internet is to create a blog.  Blogging has become a huge way to get information out to thousands of people. Although there is an etiquette as to how you can advertise in your blog, people connect and pass information along with simple entries on their blogs. With ways to get updates, your reader can just sign up to get those updates without having to go out to your blog, your blog comes to them via email. This is an easy way to network with others and gain internet recognition as well. A blog is a website and when it is done well can prove to be an asset to your business.

A third way to attract others to you and/or your website is to write articles. These articles become an information source to the readers. As you become more known by writing articles the chances are that people will be more likely to visit your website or websites that you recommend. Make sure that your articles are not blatant advertising because that is likely to turn people away after a time. Articles offer information and assistance to your reader. Even if your reader does not go to your website, they have gained valuable information and are more likely to past that along to others. These others could then be those people who do visit your website.

As with anything, it takes time to become proficient with using the internet to connect with people no matter where they are. These are only a few simple ways to reach people on the internet. But if you keep at it and find other people who have gone before you to become successful, you too will grow and create your own success. There are a lot of resources available to help you in whatever direction you decide to go. There are also many other directions you can take to get known or make money using the internet.

Adding Video Will Raise Your Credibility And Value OnlinePosted by Bonnie Holscher on September 29th, 2009

It is true that people will connect with and purchase from those they believe to be a real person and what they have to offer really does work.  This is why it is extremely important to put your picture in your posts and promotions.  But pictures seem to be only half the story.  Video is not only up and coming, it is here to stay.  One of the most effective ways to bring credibility to your sites, products and/or services is to have video of yourself and in time video testimonials.  What can be more effective than having someone endorse you and what you do and how it effected or change their life.

So I played around this morning with the camcorder attached to my computer (it is an older one)and made this video.  It is not the greatest of quality at this point but now I become real to thousands if not millions of people.  Video can be shot with your camera, a camcorder and even the webcam in or on your computer.  I even edited it, giving it a title and credits which made it more desirable.  You can learn this too.  Although I learned this a while ago I did not embrace it till I experienced the training of Joel Bauer at a seminar here in Vegas.  Alex Mandossian also taught this on a stage at a Peak Potentials Event not long ago.

For many who begin their journey into online marketing, list building can be confusing and not understood properly.  I did not realize when I got started how important my list was and how to use it to build my business.  The truth of the matter is, that without a list there are few in which you can market to.  And the ability to create and attract traffic to your website or blog can be a bit challenging. 

Your list is those people who are interested in what you are offering and in what information that you are providing.  If you are an affiliate marketer, these are also the people whom you will market the products and services that have helped you build your business or people that you follow for their expertise.  Once you have created a product or service of your own, your list is the lifeline to the internet and thousands of other possible visitors to you blog or website. 

It is so important to provide great information and tips or suggestions as well as purchasable materials to add value for your followers to use in their businesses.  Sometimes just a note of encouragement or acknowlegement to let them know that they are appreciated is a welcome for many who receive your email.

n autoresponder is the most common way to build your list and stay in touch on a regular basis.  I use an autoresponder system that allows me to have several different websites feed into one location for easy access.  The Incredible Shopping Cart has helped me to change my business from minimal exposure to contact with many many amazing people.  I share the products and services in the form of affiliations that have assisted me in building my business.  Sometimes I share books that I have read or seminar events that I have gone to or am going to attend in the process of continuing my education.  You do not need an extremely huge list to create an income and help others along the way.  Remember not to abuse the information that your list provides to you and provide an opt out in case there are a few who would like to stop receiving your information.  Once in a while they return and bring more with them when you respect their decision and just say Thank You for their time. Your list is a tremendous value to your online success.  Treat it as such.

Writing has become a popular way to get your messege out about products and services of your own or those you are marketing.  The interesting thing is that when you put your keywords in for the search engines, you do not neglect to use your name as an important key word.  As an entrepreneur, your name is what is recognized by your readers and subscribers more than any other keyword.

When writing your article or blog post, make sure that if there is a place for keyword listing that your name is the first one that appears.  This way when someone is searching to inquire about your credibility, all of your work and accomplishments get listed in the results.  The more credibility you have, the more trust you will earn with your readers and subscribers.  This will in turn help to generate more traffic to your works and  more consumers for your products, services and any affiliations that you are promoting. 

It also helps to know that those you are affiliating with and promoting are credible as well.  There is nothing worse that promoting someone who is not what or who they say they are.  And that their product or service does what it says it does.  After all, if you are promoting them you are standing up for their credibility.  So if they are not someone that others can trust, you loose credibility as well. As an entrepreneur you must be aware of someone’s character when marketing on the internet.

Writing your own web sales copy will effectively save you thousands of dollars over a period of time. A powerful sales letter will sell many times more the number of ebooks than you might have sold in the past.  Have you ever wondered what the most important skill in online marketing is that will  account for more sales than any other skill?  It is the ability to write a compelling sales letter. That’s because the most important ingredient of any website is web sales copy that sells.Sales copy for the internet is very different than copy for newspapers and magazines.  Although  different in tone from advertising copy, internet sales copy has the same main objectives and that is to generate leads, customers, sales and profits  for your website.  Web sales copy should not be confused with content which is words written for a website to inform, communicate or entertain your reader.

All the website traffic in the world isn’t going to do you a whole lot of good if your visitors click away because your website copy or sales letter isn’t convincing enough to make them stay, let alone, buy what you are selling.  Words have the amazing power to influence people and even change their beliefs. That is why it is extremely important to have not just good but great sales letters and sales copy for your website.

When you sit down to write your articles and blog posts it is best to remember that simple is always better. Instead of using big words and terminology  that people may not understand, let your words flow so that the message will be accessible to everyone. The same goes for marketing your products and services whether it is an ebook, ecourses or anything else. Let people know exactly what your products or services are about and what they can expect to gain by reading or using it. Offer them something  free like a chapter or a special report to introduce them to you.

Remember what  WIIFM stands for, what’s in it for me?  Your readers want to know why they should spend their time and money on your product or service.  Just keep it simple and you will sell more of your ebooks or whatever it is that you are marketing on the internet.  When you keep it simple there is no guessing game as to what your reader is receiving.

When You Write Your Article Or Ebook Using An Outline Will Help You Stay FocusedPosted by admin on April 25th, 2009

Sometimes when you sit down to write you may find that you have difficulty staying focused on the task at hand.  Sometimes, it is writer’s block or too many distractions.  What I find helpful is to write an outline of some kind so I know my direction and can resume my work if I get distracted. 

You can always add to or take away during the course of your writing but at least you have some direction to follow. ASs you go you will fill in the blanks with more and new ideas.  This will create  the flow that will make the reading more interesting to your readers.  It is also a great way generate new ideas for other articles or blog posts for the future. 

As you continue to add to your library of material, you can then begin to out these together to create an ebook for future distribution.  An outline is like a roadmap and you would not even begin to take a trip without a map to show the way.  So when you sit down to write develop a map or outline to get you from where you are to where you want to go in your writing.

Are you having a difficult  time finding something to write about?  You really want to write an article, ebook or even a vlog post.The best way to write content is to write abut what you know or what you are passionate about.  When you focus on what you know something about, you find that the words come much easier.   It is worthwhile to take a few minutes and make a list of topics or ideas that you either know something about personally or that you have experience with. 

Everyone works at something, whether it is a job, a hobby, sports, or leisure activity.  And that’s just the short list.  Take a look at what you do in your daily lifesuc as  experiences or relationships  and use them in your writing.  What you know about tends to flow more easily and naturally than a subject you have to research.  You are more of an expert on those things you know than you might realize and because it comes from your experience, your writing will come across more authentic and more believable than a subject you chose just because it’s popular or well searched.

So take a few moment and make a list and start there and you can later expand into even things that you are learning and researching.

Blogging has begome one of the most popular ways to communicate online with social network making a run at the rankings.  blogging began as a way toi journal and let others know just what you were doing and created an avenue to increase communication.  But within the last few years blogging has become a way to promote business as well which opened up a whole new way of marketing.

If you are an internet marketer who is attempting to promote your products or services, there is one important thing to remember.  You must blog regularly and often.  At least in the beginning.  This allows the search engines to find you and your propective clients and customers to do business.  As you gain search engine recognition and your page ranking begins to rise you can slow down just a bit but remain regular so keep fresh content on you site frequently.  You will find when you do this you will get regular followers and your traffic from the internet will increase as well from those who are looking for the information on your niche.
