Are You Living In A World Of What If?

There is an age old syndrome call “What If” that people seem to get caught up in that cripples them in the quest for success.   This obstacle can stifle the strongest and best of the best if they find themselves asked that question.

In so many cases when an opportunity arises people begin to question the outcome by saying what if.  When this happens, it causes a hesitation in either the decision making or the forward movement.  What if the project isn’t stable?  What if people don’t buy? What if my partner cheats me or takes advantage of me?  What if they don’t like me?  What if I don’t make any money?  What if, What if, What if?  The problem is that you can what if yourself right into a corner or out of a deal or opportunity that could take you right down the road of success.

Without taking risk, you will not open doors to step through and will find yourself look at walls or out of windows while other people are creating a lifestyle that they choose to live.  I just recently had to face that dilema but learned some very important lessons on the way.  I also created a logo and built a great website for someone else for the first time and gained loads of confidence even though my so called partner refused to pay me for my work.  She says we had a deal however all the email indicated that the so called agreement was never produced with any specifics in hardcopy and signed.  Even though I had a feeling things were not on the up and up and saw some not so  great patterns emerging, I continued to move forward with the expectation the the project was a great one and worth pursueing at the time.  Unfortunately, this woman was not one of her word and integrity and I ended up leaving the project without any compensation for my contributions.

The great thing is that I learn more about doing business with written agreements in place prior to the launch and engagement of your time and talents.  Because some people are not as honorable as you may be and without documentation or a paper trail they could say just about anything.

So when faced with a new opportunity or project, it is good to check out the specifics but don’t stifle yourself by adding the “What if” syndrome to the mix.  Sometimes it is an advantage to get your feet wet a little especially when building an online business before making a final decision on whether that opportunity or project is right for you.  And some people do not show their true selves till you are around them more.  There are enough road blocks in life that can slow you down or change your path with adding that age old “What If”

Are You Wandering Through A Jungle Of Self Sabotage

The attempts to become successful by many people tends to deflected by what is called self sabotage.  Have you ever felt like you have sabotaged yourself?  did you ever thing from time to time that you had set boobie traps that would slow you down or even bring you to a complete halt?  Chances are that have probably flattened a few of your own success tires or blown up a couple of your own financial bridges and even spread around a few rumors about yourself.

Well, it is time to put a stop to all this and catch the culprit before it gets too out of hand.  It is truely worth your effort.  so how do you do this and keep control so that your little saboteur does not run will again?  Become a person of intention and in alignment with the world around you.  Be convicted to succeed.  Use your intuition to recognize and realize when you begin to set success land mines that will throw your off your road and into a temporary ditch.

This kind of transition does not happen all at once and will take to time to implement.  Sometime it will take quite a “wake up” call to get your attention.  it will require you to get your act together with no other choice.  You will stop looking for your someday and realize that the time is NOW. This is when you see that the dreams and efforts that you had some time ago are ready for harvest.

The secret is to get yourself to do what you you know you must do.  Now that you have been working at your “saw has been sharpened” and it is time to use it. The situation with most people is that they are busy hacking away in pursuit of their dreams with a dull axe.

New Challenges, New Opportunities In A Troubled Economy

Along with the challenges that the present economy presents a certain amount of uncertainty.  We almost feel like the days are covered with clouds but keep in mind that clouds are only temporary.  Keep your joy and don’t let a few clouds sour your life. There is so much doom and gloom that if you are not careful it will sink you.

What we need to do during these times is to respond instead of react.  Figure out what stands between you and the challenge.  Maybe it is worry, fear or doubt.  Once we have identified the source we need to say to ourselves and the world that ”This is not setting me back, it is setting me up for a better outcome.  The economy may be affecting my business but it is not going to affect my mind.”

We will all go through challenges and make some decisions but the key is to go through these challenges as the victor and not  the victim.  Tackle the challenges as the champion.  You are closest to your victories when it seems the darkest.  Happiness is something you decide upon ahead of time.

To Be Successful In Times Of Economic Uncertainty You Must Embrace Risk

It is quite apparent that these are times times of crunch and of pulling in our belts to weather through the rise and fall of the economy. This period of time is when the pressure in on and the outcome of the situation depends on the efforts made to power through the toughest odds. Many people, if they have not already experience it…will. These are the moments when almost all responsibility rests on you and your ability to step up to the plate. You may not always be able to “sink the shot” but you will be setting an example of leadership and inspiration to those around you.

Most people run from tough situations because of fear or lack of confidence. But when you learn to stay focused and centered you learn to control that “little voice” that keeps telling you that you can’t. There are a few things you can learn to help control that little voice and keep you from running from the opportunities that allow you to grow and prosper.

Do all that you can to become someone who does not run from risk. Only those that embrace the risk will receive the reward. The ultimate secret to success is taking the risk and learning how to maneuver through the turbulent water. Each time you face a risk, it is not the risk but the learning that becomes the all important factor. It takes practice to develop a winning attitude and successful track record. But you can only achieve that when you continually step up to the plate and take the risk. After all, the only real risk is to do nothing and be just a spectator in you life.

We all will face crunch times in our lives but you must ask yourself if you are prepared. Just keep playing with everything you have and even the unexpected will reap considerable rewards.

What Do Others See When They First See You?

Have you ever wonder just what people were thinking when you walked into a room?  Do they see who you want them to see?  They could but maybe they don’t.  Maybe what they see is not what you are portraying at all.  If you are the speaker in a seminar you need to portray a certain amount of poise, confidence, and character.  You may think you are portraying that image but in fact your posture may say something else.  Your clothing may not be exactly what you need to give that impression.  That is if that is what you want your audience to think.  Some will say that they don’t really care what the people think.  But in reality, what the people see is what their first judgement of what you have to offer is.  If your sales or success in closings are not where you would like them to be,  maybe a look in the mirror may tell a story.  If your suit for the men and dress for the women is frumpy and sloppy looking,  that is what they see for the business, product or opportunity you are offer.  When you hear the expression “Dress for Success”, take heed.  there is more to that statement than you think.

What Will It Take For You To Achieve Financial Freedom

Financial freedom is something that is sought after by a wide variety of people. But how many realize that in order to find or have financial freedom you will need to make some changes to the way you think about and handle money? You need to have a map or a blueprint of where you want to go. You will also need to realize that the way you look at wealthy and financially free individuals may need to change as well. There are several things to know that will help you to change your road to a financially free life.

Among the changes that need to happen is your ability to find someone who is already successful and role model after them. If possible, spend time with them and learn more about the steps they took to get where they are. Don’t just hear the lessons, learn them. Along with the changes you will begin to make will come opportunities to apply what you have learned. As long as you are still learning, you will continue to grow.

When you begin to grow there is another thing that needs to be understood. Everyone has problems and money problems are one them. To be successful to the point of freedom you will need to grow yourself bigger than your problems. Financially free individuals have problems also but they have learned to be bigger than those problems making the same problems smaller in perspective. As long as your problems are bigger than you, the chances are that you will not gain the freedom and success you are trying to achieve. You have to raise the ceiling on how high you are willing to shoot . As the saying goes, “If You Shoot For The Stars, You Just May Reach The Moon”. When you get to the moon and look down, you will see that the same problems you had before are much smaller in perspective than they were before.

What Do People See When You Are Not Looking

There times, I am sure, that you have  thought it was not important to maintain your appearance when you were just around friends, at the grocery store and not on the job.  This happens frequently and most people do not realization that your appearance and your character in the casual is just as important as on the job for two specific reasons.

The first reason  is that you remain aware of your posture and the way you handle and carry yourself on a regular basis.  It becomes the norm and not the occassional.   This way you can insure that if you run into a potential client or customer the can be assured that you are the type of business person they would like to do business with.  What you portray on the outside will always reflect what is on the inside no matter where you are.  Which brings us to reason number two.

When you are at your best self image and confidence, you are always prepared for who you might run into outside your home or office that could influence your life and the lives of your family.  If you are setting goals for improvment in lifestyle for your future it is very important to remember that in many cases , people see you and get an impression before you see them.  Your attitude will also teach those around you and your family to take pride in the impression you do leave at any given time.  Successful people are always aware of the impression they are leaving when in public areas.  It could open or close doors for the future.

Is Being OK With Yourself Just An Excuse

So many times in the recent past I have heard especially women say “I’m OK with the way I am”.  But is that really OK?  Or is it just a blatant excuse for being lazy or unmotivated to make changes to be the best you that you can be?  Or even a lack of character and confidence.  If you have a business that deals with body improvement and you can’t see your ankles or elbows because of your weight, how much credibility do you really think you really have.  Or if you write about business and/or relationships yet after attending a promenant meeting all you can expound upon is the quality of the food and not the content of the meeting, do you really think  people are going to take you seriously?   Your first impression says everything about you and your character.  It reveals your self image and that will reflect upon how a person will feel about how you can do your business.  It is time to wake up and smell the flowers or lack thereof.  Thinking it is OK to be OK with yourself is a cop out and just an excuse to not improve your valuable image.  What people see first is what many base their future business dealings on.  And if you are not willing to step out of you boxed in comfort zone and do something physically to look your best then you should not be surprised if your business is not growing to the extent you would like it to either.  Let’s get real.  Being OK is not OK and it is time to stop finding excuses to do what it take to become the best you that you can and should be.  You will feel better about you also.  A new image is always a plus and when you look successful you will be successful.

Reinvent Yourself In These Times Of Uncertainty

There are several terms that I have heard about making changes to yourself.  One term is new to me but I like the sound of it.  It seems that in some cases a person needs to go through a transformation or reinvention to see the difference in themselves.  They don’t see themselves as they could be. But continue to see themselves as they are or as they were.  By reinventing yourself you start from a completelydifferent point than just a small change here and there.  That is probably why there are so many makeover shows in television.  Most people can not imagine what can be so they stay stuck on what is.  By looking at a total makeover or reinvention what we really can be will then emerge. Our character will have a new beginning and our confidence level will rise. Your new image can bring a welcome change on the inside as well.

With new confidence you can step into another world unlike the one you are currently in to create a new life.  Even in these times of uncertainty, you can become a newer, better, more prosperous person and life a lifestyle you have desired but not yet achieved.  By taking that first step of change you will see your character make changes as well.  By looking at yourself differently, others with look at you with more belief that the direction you are taking is a path to success.  You will find that your netowrk of associates will grow which in turn creates more opportunity for growth and new heights.  Especially in these times of economic uncertainty, redirecting and reinventing yourself may be the only way to weather the storm.

Are You Packaging Yourself For Where You Are Going

Are you packaging or presenting yourself in the context you are in now?  Is where you are now where you want to be in the future?  If not, maybe you are dressing inappropriately for where you want to go and that can be hindering you from getting there.  Or getting there faster than you are.  Your attire says alot about you and your ambition.  If someone you may be trying to land a contract with does not see you literally ready for the future, even by the way you may be packaging yourself you could either not get your contract or there may be a seemingly sizable hesitation in the negotiations.

If you are not where you want to be in your life you should not be dressing anything less.  There are affordable ways to put together a wardrobe, hairdo and for the ladies, makeup to put you right where you should be, package wise.  When you look the part, the chances are more than likely that you will move toward your goal quicker, easier and with more confidence.  Your self image may be your new image and your key to your new future.  It is all in the package.
